It is important to be aware that:
- All Hate crimes are Hate incidents
- However, not all Hate incidents are Hate crimes
How can you report a Race or other Hate incident?
If you are attacked or witness an attack that you believe to be motivated by hate please contact Northumbria Police immediately on 999.
If you experience abuse because of hatred for your gender, race, faith or belief, disability or sexual orientation but do not want to report it to the Police there are other ways you can report it. You can report incidents anonymously. The ways you can report Race and other Hate incidents are:
